Legacy Giving
Invest in the MAC to leave a legacy of arts and culture while also realizing your financial goals.
The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC) was founded in 1916 as the Eastern Washington State Historical Society. It is the oldest, largest, and most important repository and interpreter of historical and cultural objects in our region. In addition, the MAC is nationally accredited by the American Association of Museums and is an affiliate of The Smithsonian Institution.
Legacy gifts, also known as planned gifts, are one of the most important ways you can support the MAC. You may be able to save on taxes, receive income for life, or enjoy other financial benefits—all while ensuring that future generations may connect with art, history, and culture in the Inland Northwest.
Our Gratitude for Your Gift
The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture Legacy Society was established to recognize and thank our friends who have provided for the Museum in their estate plans or have established a named endowment fund. The purpose of the Society is to continue to build the endowment and ensure a sustainable and stable future for the Museum. Members of the Legacy Society are honored at an annual luncheon in the fall and receive special updates about the Museum. Legacy Society support keeps the MAC strong as we move into our second century of service to the community. All planned gifts are directed through the MAC Foundation.
